Call for entries. Deadline: June 30, 2013

Medrar for Contemporary Art is sending out an open Call for Submission to the Fifth Cairo Video Festival hosted in Medrar’s space in September 2013.

Participation:

• Individuals, groups, curators or associations are invited to participate.
• The number of entries by one author is limited to three works only
• Documentary, feature or commercial videos will not be recognized for enrolment in the festival.
• Videos should be produced after January 2010, and no longer than 30 min of duration.
• Screening of the submitted videos should not have any specific recommended format of installation.
• The festival does not offer screening fees; neither requests any entry charges from the applicants
• A committee appointed by the organizers of the festival will do the selection of entries.
• Notification of the selection of a Video will be issued by 15 August  2012, by email only.
• The organizing crew has the right to use the participating data within all promotional means and publications, with reserved copyrights.

L'Alternativa, Barcelona Independent Film Festival

¡El Festival de cine independiente de Barcelona, l’Alternativa, celebra ya 20 años! 20 años defendiendo un cine comprometido con el lenguaje cinematográfico, con la expresión creativa y con el espectador. 20 años en los que hemos contribuido a descubrir y recuperar autores y películas estimulantes, sorprendentes, que se atreven a huir de lo convencional y se arriesgan a quedar al margen de los circuitos comerciales.

L’Alternativa cuenta con dos Secciones Oficiales competitivas: Largometraje y Cortometraje. Las Secciones Paralelas presentan homenajes, estrenos, obras de cinematografías poco conocidas y de nuevos creadores. Por su parte,Pantalla Hall ofrece horas de programación gratuita, rica y diversa, en un entorno excepcional.

El espacio para la formación y el debate se desarrolla con las Actividades Paralelas, la sección Escuelas de cine, que ofrece proyecciones y talleres en colaboración con centros de formación audiovisual, y una Jornada Profesional organizada desde la Independent Film Network.

One Minute Volume 7 will be the seventh in the series of artist moving image programmes curated by Kerry Baldry. These programmes have been screened worldwide. Studio Two Three: "Emerging Filmmakers" Event

The Studio Two Three Film + Video Series is now accepting submissions for our "Emerging Filmmakers" event. We are seeking submissions for found footage films and videos. This includes all walks of found footage work, including internet videos, mashups, montage compilations, you name it!

We are seeking short videos, under 10 minutes in length. This is a call for student work as well as established film and video makers, please email with any questions.

The Event will be held on April 25 from 7-9pm, in Richmond, Virginia, USA.

4) Entry Form (both mail & e-mail)
5) 1 photo of artist & 3 production photos (e-mail only)

- No entry fee
