During this VIDEO ART ATTACK! in CAMPO Victoria we present you a mash up video expo with some extraordinary names like Bill Viola, Paul McCarthy, Nicolas Provost, emerging Belgian and international video violence.

The Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film Festival will presents us an exotic film program.

Next you will also see a live movie in one single shot from Kristian Van Der Heyden, the R.I.P.O.F. Bleching as well as exotic and hot videowork from the archive of the Kula Lumpur Experimental filmfestival.

On Thursday, 23th of May 2013, we transform the theater studios of CAMPO victoria into a multi media blast of cinema, video and performance! 

This would be a one-day exhibition, a mash up of contrasting video works to bring a wide concept of video art to the audience. Jonas Mekas and Ken Jacobs are sympathizing with our organization with some of their video work. Other names are Nicolas Provost, David O’Reilly, Peter Van der Es, Joeri De Mulder, Noe Kidder, Robbert&Frank Frank&Robbert, Bill Viola, Myo Van Stenis, ...

As an artist working with film and video, you use the frame as your medium to express, experiment and communicate. A frame holds your mess together and put it in place and in context – your ideas, emotions, memories, yearnings, desires… It is your canvas, your stage and your asylum, you feel safe and comfortable living in this little universe. And then one day, you notice that the edge of this frame starts to crack…

Use the word “Deframed” as an inspiration for your new experiment with film and video for the 3rd KLEX 2012!

KLEX is an artists/volunteers-run, DIY film festival dedicated to showcase and promote experimental cinema from Malaysia and worldwide to facilitate understanding, exchange, friendship and collaboration

1st KLEX: Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film and Video Festival
Festival Dates: October 22nd-25th, 2010

KLEX: Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film and Video Festival is an exposition dedicated to exhibiting innovative film and video works. The Festival focuses on experimental works that challenge the conventional cinematic experiences.

The Festival accepts entries of works completed after January 1st, 2008. We do accept only DVD format for submission. Our screening formats are: DVD and MiniDV PAL (We are trying to have facilities for 16mm film and Blu-ray, though). There is no entry fee. However due to limited funding, we are unable to pay rental fees.

All submission materials will be not be returned, but used for KLEX archiving.
