Nathaniel Dorsky
De Experimental Cinema
Nathaniel Dorsky es un cineasta de San Francisco y autor del libro Devotional Cinema (2003). Intenta que sus filmes en 16mm creen un "estado de oración" no tratando el budismo como tema sino expresando "la visión que surge del budismo". En su libro Devotional Cinema Dorsky escribe sobre el antiguo enlace entre salud y arte así como del potencial tranfsformador del visionado de cine. También escribe sobre las limitaciones del cine en cuanto sibyugado al tema o dependiente del 'oornamento del lenguaje', que puede describir un mundo pero no verlo.
En 2006 recibió una subvención de la Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grants to Artists Award.
Sus películas son distribuídas por Canyon Cinema en San Francisco.
