Curated by Takahiro Suzuki and Janelle VanderKelen and hosted at Woodland Pattern Book Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, aCinema is an exhibition series dedicated to the screening of works by moving image artists from around the globe.

Over the weekend of Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21, 2024, aCinema will present aDifferent Program, a condensed summer series featuring six programs, at Woodland Pattern. We invite makers working in experimental short-form film and video to submit works for consideration. Works should have a completion date within the last two year (2022–2024) and be under fifteen minutes in total length. We do not have any restrictions or requirements for premiere status, so please send us any work you wish for us to consider. Screening artists will be paid a modest screening fee.

Submissions will close on Friday, May 10, 2024 and final programming decisions will be announced by mid-June.  We look forward to receiving your work for the first aCinema summer screening series!

If you have questions for the curators, please feel free to email them at acinemaspace [at] gmail [dot] com. For questions regarding Woodland Pattern's Submittable platform, please reach out to Programming Director Mike Wendt at info [at] woodlandpattern [dot] org.
