I love Inland Empire. I've seen it five times and I believe it is to be seen with Mulholland Drive - a sort of companion piece. Absolutely amazing. A very hard experience, though. So abrasive and ugly. This is Lynch's best work, in my opinion. It is so liberating to watch the film/video, because he takes so many liberties. This is the future of film/video. I do believe that experimental film/video such as this will some day soon be accessible in more theaters for a wider viewing audience.
