    25 FPS Festival is inviting new films to apply for the International Competition of the 2017 edition taking place in Zagreb between September 28th and October 1st

    We're searching for innovative explorations of cinematic language, narration and the medium itself, film types and genres that cross and broaden the notion of film as art. Festival is open to expressive original concepts, progresses in terms of theme, idea and aesthetics, as well as works that perpetuate the tradition of avant-garde and experimental film.

  • Troubling the Image: Works by Pat O'Neill

    Since the 1960s, acclaimed experimental filmmaker Pat O’Neill has explored the visual complexities of moving images on screen, first through his mastery of the optical printer and more recently through digital tools. This program presents exemplary works of each. One of O’Neill’s final works on celluloid, the 35mm Trouble in the Image (1996) is a moving image artist’s book that hints and nudges towards rich connections and associations.
